He then entered the US Navy and served 4 years active duty and 2 years in the Reserves. He was employed for 41 years with Nashua Corp. Survived by wife Mary; daughter Chris (Bruce) Karschner; sons Rich (Rose) Benda, Brad (Wendy) Benda; grandchildren Katie, Richie, Ben, Wes, Evelyn, Aidan, Hallie; sister Joyce (Bob) Vondrasek; many wonderful relatives, friends, and buddies from both the Navy and NashuaVisitation Thursday, October 11th, after 4:00 p.m. with Vigil Service 7:00 p.m.at the funeral home. Funeral Friday, October 12th, 9:20 a.m. Bethany Chapel to St. Mary Catholic Church (36th and Q) for 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment St. Mary Cemetery. Military honors by American Legion Post 331. In lieu of flowers, memorials requested to the family.
