Born in Prague, NE to James and Emma (Mach) Kratky. He served with the US Army in the Pacific Theater during WWII and married Marcella Uridil on Oct 16, 1947 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Abie, NE. After returning from the service he worked for Swifts Packing House and later for Nebraska Furniture Mart. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers James and Francis, sister and brothers-in-law Adeline and Lawrence Whidden, Anton Musilek. Survived by wife Marcella children Ann (Alan) Dietze, Donald (Vickie) Kratky, James (Judi) Kratky grandchildren Paul Dietze, Patrick (Tamara) Dietze, Christopher (Jessica) Dietze, Adam (Jamie) Kratky, Kaitlin Kratky step-grandchildren Jessica Jones, Mandy (Rob) Downey, Matthew Nicholson great granddaughter Addison Kratky, step-great grandsons Tyler and Riley Downey brother Joe (Burnie) Kratky, sister Eleanor Musilek, sister-in-law Jo Ellen Kratky Interment St. John Cemetery.
