Richard served 10 1/2 years in the Airforce . First 6 years as enlisted, last 4 1/2 years as an officer. He attended Officer Training School in San Antonio, TX in 1978. In 1982, he thought Omaha, NE was a good place to raise a family and he got out of the service. As his sons were growing up he was involved in Boy Scouts with them. He was a family man. His job with ACI sent him around the world many time. Making it necessary to learn many languages, Cobal and Java were two. After he retired he and his wife traveled several times a year. Later this involved taking his granddaughter. The joy of being a grandpa was the best. His only regret was that he wouldn't be around to see her conquer the world.
Richard is survived by his loving wife Bari L. Morrison; children Sean A. (Alexia) Morrison and Jarrod A. (Teresa) Morrison; granddaughter Audra Morrison; numerous nieces and nephews, including some grandnieces and a grandnephew; sister and brothers-in-law and spouses.
He was preceded in death by his son Nathan A. Morrison; brother James E. Morrison; and his parents Helen (Ward) Morrison and Edward N. Morrison.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Josie Harper Hospice House ( https://hospicehouseomaha.org/ ).
