Rose Marie was preceded in death by her parents Maurice and Rose Ann (Augustine) Branigan, sisters Eileen (Joe) Smith and Agnes (Frank) Mullally, niece Mary K. Kaup and nephews John "Jack" Mullally and Phillip Walker.
She is survived by her loving brother Robert Branigan, 19 nieces and nephews, 41 grand nieces and nephews, 81 great grand nieces and nephews (with 2 on the way) and cousins Bernard and Joey McGowan.
In spite of her affliction of infantile paralysis (polio) and against all medical odds, Rose learned to walk, graduated from Silver Creek High School and went on to work for St. Mary's Hospital in Columbus, NE for a number of years.Following her employment with the hospital, she was employed as a nannyfor Marcia Angle for several years.Marcia remained a dear, loving friend until Rose's passing.She continued providing caregiving services until it was medically necessary for her to be cared for by others.She spent the last several years at Louisville Care Center in Louisville, NE where she was cared for bya loving, compassionate staff.
Rose was an avid Cornhusker fan and enjoyed family gatherings for football games, holidays and family events.She was a loving sister, aunt and friend and will be dearly missed by her loved ones.
