Survived by his wife Mary Diane; the Tennessee family: stepmother Emma Powers; sisters Roberta and Janie; brother Robert; granddaughters, grandsons, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; Nebraska Family: mother-in-law Mary Gillispie; brother and sister-in-law Don and Beth Gillispie; nieces and nephew, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Scott worked for Tyson Foods in Missouri; he was with the Fire Department in Tipton, Missouri before moving to Colorado Springs where he was a maintenance manager for several large complexes before moving to Omaha.
Scott was a member of Liberty Lodge #300 and Sesostris Shrine in Lincoln, and Tangier Shrine in Omaha.
