Sherri J. Cox

May 19, 1959 — June 25, 2024

Sherri Jean Cox, age 65, passed away on June 25, 2024 after a long battle with cancer.  She was born in Rome, New York on May 19, 1959 to Dorthy and Reginalo Leutz.  Sherri lived in Omaha and Plattsmouth.  Graduated from Plattsmouth High School. Married Dale Cox on September 5, 1980 and lived in Omaha and settled down in La Vista, NE.  She worked at the Westside Community Schools as a cook for 19 years.  She loved spending time with her beautiful children Rachel and Kevin and precious grandchildren Nola and Abraham.  She loved gardening and her beautiful flowers.  Also loved bird watching and crafts.

Sherri was preceded in death by her father Reginaldo Leutz; father-in-law Delbert S. Cox.

She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years Dale Cox; children Rachel (Phil) Zadina and Kevin Cox; grandchildren Nola and Abraham Zadina; mother Dorthy DeBacker; sisters Terry (Tom) Aylor and Kathy (Jerry) Steckly; and many more family and friends.
