age 59, of Papillion Terry will be remembered for his love of family, history, travel and education. He was born October 15, 1948, in Portland, Maine to Thaxter Raymond and Ella Mae (Moore) Davis. Terry was a child of the world, living many different places and attending various schools as he moved with his military family. He died at Alegent Bergan Mercy Hospital on July 28, surrounded by family after a short, valiant battle against melanoma cancer. He was admired for his integrity, work ethic, quick wit, and keen sense of humor. Very patriotic, he was fun to be around and funny, often the life of the party. He was the ???tour guide??? for many trips taken by family and friends. He loved history, especially early civilizations and would fill-in details missed by official tour guides. He graduated from Bellevue High School in 1966, attended UNL and completed his BS in Business at UNO in 1978. Between those times, he served his country in the US Navy aboard the USS Constellation during the Viet Nam War. As a life long student, other degrees he earned were Associate Degrees in HVAC, electricity, and Para-legal studies from Metro Community College. He worked in the elevator trade as a mechanic, as the Business Agent for Local Union 28, and as a supervisor for Otis Elevator.
