Thomas Roger Witkovski

Thomas Roger Witkovski passed away surrounded by his loving family. He fought a long battle with colon cancer.

Tom was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on January 9, 1953 and passed on October 21, 2023, into the arms of his heavenly Father. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Thomas Witkovski; mother Faye Yvonne Witkovski; brother-in-law Lynn Benish; and many aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Paula; daughter Holly Witkovski (Jon Beebe); son Travis (Jessica) Witkovski; grandson Donovan Witkovski, who he affectionately called "D. Myer"; sister Linda Sue Benish; sisters-in-law Laura (Greg) Eckert and Dawn (Tom) Hughes; niece Lauren (Andrew) Kweller; nephews Ryan (Heather) Eckert and Aaron Eckert; nieces Faith Hughes, Brenda (Steve) Zadina, Tracey (Patrick) Hillebrandt, Claire Hillebrandt, and Amy Benish; nephew Jack Hillebrandt; great-nieces Alison (Scott) Ledwich, Caitlin Zadina (Nolan Snyder), Darby (Bobby) Peterson, and many great-great nephews and nieces.

Tom moved to Omaha/Papillion in the 1960s. He graduated from Papillion HS in 1971. He has maintained friendships with many of his wonderful classmates for 50 years. He was blessed to be able to spend time regularly with his loving, kind, and loyal friends. He was known to his friends as "Wit" and had a huge personality and wicked sense of humor.

Tom spent much of his career in sales at Mike Gorges Pontiac/GMC. He was a salesman of the month many times. He loved the people he worked with and had a lifelong bond with many of them.

Tom loved golfing and driving his 1980 Corvette. He was a wonderful, loving, and devoted husband. He loved his children and grandson to the moon and back. He will be deeply missed by everyone who he was blessed to come in contact with throughout his life. One of his favorite sayings was:

"Wait till they get a load of me!"
