age 91, January 23, 2011 Veryle began his final rest on Sunday, January 23rd, two days before his 92nd birthday. Had it not been for his pneumonia ravaged lungs he may have lived to be an old man. He is survived by his wife of 70 years Dorothy and the 3 children he helped raise; Larry, Bob, and Kathy. The second eldest of 13, 4 brothers and 1 sister remain to honor his memory, Harry, Don, Gerry, Keith, and Sally. Veryle doted on his 4 grandchildren and delighted in his 3 great grandchildren. With a mind to his patriotic duty, he served in World War II in the Pacific and in the Korean Conflict. A long time resident of Ralston, he took pride in his personal customer relationships during nearly 40 years working at the Dutch Mill service station at 60th and L Streets. Civic minded to the end, he contributed to the work and fellowship of the Ralston American Legion and Optimist Clubs, the Masonic Lodge of Papillion, and the Tangier Shrine, and was a devoted member of Messiah Lutheran Church. He was a simple, humble, spiritual man who will be missed by many. Lord, make room on the Heavenly Golf Team???one of your servants and a high handicapper is coming home. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park. Military honors by the Ralston American Legion Honor Guard. Memorials requested to Messiah Lutheran Church or the Ralston American Legion.
