March 26, 1930 - June 25, 2022

Virginia Rose Adams Algya was Born March 26, 1930, in Omaha, Nebraska to Nick and Mary Adams (both deceased).  Her older sister, Cornelia Paulsen of O'Fallon, IL. survives her.  She also had two younger sisters, Juana Jensen, and Mary Obrist, both deceased.

Virginia (Ginny) graduated from Omaha Benson High School, and married Stephen Anthony Algya, Sr. (deceased).  Together, they had nine children:  Stephen Anthony Algya, Jr. (Mary) of Anthem, AZ., MaryRose Algya (Cindy) of Phoenix, AZ., Stephenie Ann Algya (deceased), Peter Gerard Algya (Paula) of St. Louis, MO., Edward Nicholas Algya (Margaret) of Columbia, MO., Julia Ann Algya Warton (Kip) of Colorado Springs, CO., Paul Francis Algya (Stacey) of Tucson, AZ., Christopher John Algya (Fran) of San Marcos, CA., and Mark Joseph Algya (Kim) of Dallas, TX.  She has 28 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Virginia was a stay-at-home mom often taking in ironing, typing projects, alterations, and more, to help make ends meet for her large family. She was an accomplished seamstress, forever making gifts for her children, grandchildren, friends, and clients. Everyone who knew her could attest to her excellent culinary and baking skills. She enjoyed gardening, had a flair for home decorating, entertaining, enjoyed music and travel. Virginia eventually entered the traditional workforce retiring from Creighton University Law School as an executive assistant to the dean, a position she highly cherished.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Douglas County Health Center (4102 Woolworth Ave., Omaha, NE. 68105) in Virginia's Name.  She received wonderful care there during her last several years.

The family will participate in a private inurnment ceremony after the service.
