age 92 years. WWII Veteran who served in Europe and the Pacific Theater earning the Bronze Star. Long time member of Nebraska and Iowa Old Timers Assn. and American Legion Post 331.Preceded in death by wife of 60 years Leona; parents William J. and Antoinette (Machal) Blessie; sister and brother-in-law Virginia and Obrad Marinkovich; brother Jackie; son-in-law Carl Troia; great grandchild Michaela Ann Lillard.Survived by children Terry Troia, Nancy (Larry) Sekyra, Debby (Tom) Troia, Mary Beth (Tom) Wilwerding, Bill (Diane) Blessie, Tracy (Dr. Sean) Kenney; 24 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.Visitation Wednesday, May 20th, after 4:00 p.m. with Vigil Service 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral Thursday, May 21st, 10:20 a.m. Bethany Chapel to St. Bernadette Catholic Church (7600 South 42nd Street - Bellevue) for 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment St. John Cemetery. Military honors by American Legion Post 331 Honor Guard. Memorials will be directed by the family.
