William R. Cotton

March 31, 1951 — August 7, 2020

Bill was born and grew up in Sioux City, Iowa.He graduated in 1969 from Central High School and then went on to join the United States Navy from July of 1969 to July of 1975. While in navy he served on the USS VonSteuben Poseidon Submarine as missile control. After his service in the navy he lived a few years in Chicago then moved to South Sioux City Nebraska where he worked for IBP as computer programer technician .He met Becky and in 1984 married her and took her son Chad to help raise. The couple had two girls Cassie Witt and Whitney Cotton, he spent many weekends fishing, camping and partying with friends and family. Bill will be missed but the memories he gave us all will never leave us.

William was preceded in death by his parents Roy A. and Alice E. Cotton; and his niece Stephanie Dahl.

He is survived by his loving wife of36years Becky Cotton; children Chad Dahl, Cassie (Andy) Witt and
Whitney Cotton; grandchildren Aylah Christiansen, Josie Witt, Brody Witt and Gunnar Nettleton; sister Vickie (Jerry) Lemons and Debbie (Steve) Kleitsch; and many nieces, nephew, cousins and friends.

Private Family Memorial Service to be held, and a Celebration of Life Service to take place at a late date.
