William Joseph Raub

July 15, 1933 — December 6, 2021

William "Bill" Raub was born in Sioux City, Iowa on July 15, 1933.He grew up in Westfield, IA and moved to Parkston, SD where he attended high school and worked on the Railroad with his dad until he enlisted in the US Army in 1954.He served our country during the Korean Conflict for four years, nine months and seven days.

On August 30, 1958, he married his "bride" Mary in Mitchell, SD.They lived in various cities in Iowa.They welcomed their first daughter Debbie in 1962.They settled in Omaha in 1968 and soon after welcomed two additional daughters Peggy (1969) and Cindy (1970), completing his harem.
Bill was a born salesman and could sell an ice cube to an Eskimo.He worked for Swanson Gentleman Hart for 25 years before starting Raub Enterprise Inc in 1994 with his wife.

His family continued to grow with the addition of two son-in-laws, six grandkids and two great-grandkids.Bill enjoyed watching the kids play sports, going to Husker games with his wife and family and just spending time together.

Bill "semi-retired" in 2013 when he sold his company to his daughter and son-in-law.He continued to work for them as a sales representative until the age of 87.He hung up his keys in April 2021 to spend more time with his family.

He passed away peacefully with family nearby on December 6, 2021 after a life well lived.

He is survived by his wife Mary, daughters Debbie (Dave) Schmitz, Peggy Raub, Cindy (Shawn) Sutton, grandkids Tia (Rick), Zac, Samantha, Clay, Ben and Joe, great grandkids Nevaeh and Anthony, brother-in-law George Holck and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He is proceeded in death by his parents Harold and Rosa Raub, brothers and sister-in-laws Tony (Anne) Raub, Dan (Jean) Raub, Larry (Louise) Raub and his sister Eileen "Ike" Holck.
