Cordelia M. "Corky" Luedders, daughter of Jess Oliver and Viola K. (Kreusch) Gamblin, was born April 15, 1931 in Ludell, Kansas. She passed away Monday, March 6, 2017, while at the Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 85 years. Cordelia grew up in Ludell near Atwood, Kansas where she attended High School. Family was always a priority and the joy of her life.On May 26, 1949, Cordelia married Alvin Luedders at Atwood, Kansas. After beginning their marriage and family in Ludell, they moved to McCook, Nebraska for several years then Hastings, Nebraska and Wray, Colorado before finally moving to Omaha as Alvin's truck driving location changed. Four children were born in the union with Alvin and they were also blessed with eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.Cordelia was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Richard, Cletus, Norbert, and Lyle Gamblin.Survivors include her husband Alvin Luedders; daughter Carol Luedders of Omaha; sons Stephen Luedders and his wife Mary of Denver, Colorado, Robert Luedders and his wife Dee Dee of Yantis, Texas, and Gary Luedders and his wife Debra of Omaha; grandchildren Lynette Ogletree and husband Buddy, Andrea Johansen and husband James, Renee Luedders, Jonathan Luedders, Kim Melendez and husband Joe, Ryan Luedders and wife Adrienne, Brent Luedders and Sara Luedders; great-grandchildren Hunter and Logan Johansen, Carly, Jenna, and Brody Ogletree, Lucas and Ana Melendez, and Sawyer Luedders; brother Jim Gamblin of Oberlin, Kansas; sister Barbara McFadden of Mentrose, Colorado; and many nieces and nephews.Visitation at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church (7706 S. 96th St) Thursday, March 9th, beginning at 9:00 a.m. followed by Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. all at the church. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park. Memorials will be directed by the family.
