Paula Kay Newhouse was born March 14, 1991, in Omaha, Nebraska. She grew up in Millard, Nebraska, and graduated from Millard South in 2009. Paula attended the University of Nebraska in Kearney and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music degree in 2015. Paula was currently teaching music at Sacred Heart Catholic School in Falls City, Nebraska. Paulas contagious laugh and smile caught the eyes of anybody and made you fall in love with her. There never was a day she didnt brighten the room. The love Paula had for music and the joy she brought to family, friends, and her students was endless. Paula loved to travel, especially to visit her mother in Hong Kong. Paula was a member of the Southeast Nebraska Community Band, a member of the Tau Beta Sigma National Honorary Band Sorority, and a member of the Navigators at the University of Nebraska in Kearney. Paula is preceded in death by her grandfather Louie John Ropers, Sr. She is survived by her mother Judy Newhouse of Ames, IA; father Mark (Debbie) Newhouse of Omaha, NE; grandparents, Bernard (Janice) Newhouse of Bellevue, NE and Delores Ropers of Sargent, NE; aunts and uncles, Jill (Tim) Trusler, Louie (Jackie) Ropers, Jr.; Kent (Dori) Ropers, Gary (Angie) Ropers, Lori Newhouse, Lynn Newhouse, James (Sandi) Newhouse and many cousins. Visitation: Monday, April 17, 2017 4:00 - 7:00 p.m., at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church (7706 S. 96th St La Vista, Nebraska). Memorial Services will be heldTuesday, April 18, 201711:00 a.m. at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church (7706 S. 96th St La Vista, Nebraska). Reverend Ryan Brons will be officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in La Vista, Nebraska, and Sacred Heart Catholic School in Falls City, Nebraska.
