Scott A. Lindquist

August 4, 1960 — January 17, 2016

age 55 years, of Omaha, Nebraska. Scott passed away suddenly on January 17, 2016. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Nuclear Engineer degree. Scott worked at OPPDs Fort Calhoun Nuclear Station for 26 years and was a member of the Operations Department where he earned his Senior Reactor Operators License and directed the operation of the Power Station as a Control Room Supervisor. He loved the Wisconsin Badgers, Green Bay Packers, Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins; but he especially loved animals. He is preceded in death by his father, John (Jack) Lindquist. Survived by his loving family Kathy Kroupa (life partner); Mary (mother); Mitchell and Agata (brother and sister-in-law); Kerry and Caroljean (brother and sister-in-law); Yaz (his dog) named after Carl Yastrzemski, his favorite Red Sox player.He was loved greatly by his extended family: Sandra Kroupa, Carrie and Mark Larkin, Ed Kroupa, Anne and Mike McClellan, and Connie and Chris Curtis; nieces and nephews Travis, Amanda, Cassie, Lucas, Sarah, McKenzie, Madison and Chance; great niece and nephews Ryleigh, William and Gannon; and, many aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be sorely missed by his best friend Sasha and his Fort Calhoun, Outpost and neighborhood families. Visitation with family begins Saturday, January 30th, at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service 10:30 a.m. Bethany Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to The Nebraska Humane Society.
